Denise brings over twenty years of healthcare management experience to her role as Associate with SP&A. As Director of CME for The Methodist Hospital System in Houston, a part of the Texas Medical Center, she led the organization through their initial accreditation earning kudos from the surveyors as one of the most promising CME programs they had seen from an initial applicant. Her CME management responsibilities at Methodist included the development of all CME policies and procedures, preparation of the self study report for accreditation, planning CME activities, oversight of their regularly scheduled series (RSS) and implementation of a monitoring system to assure compliance. During her tenure at Methodist, she also managed CME activities for the DeBakey Heart Center.
With a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Oklahoma, she has held management positions in marketing and managed care areas with not-for-profit private and public hospitals and for-profit hospitals, the Voluntary Hospitals of America (VHA), and a Houston-based medical education company.
As project associate at SP&A, she manages both initial and re-accreditation for all types of providers, with particular focus on evidence of compliance in both self study chapters and files.
