Ms. Sweetnam has undergraduate and graduate degrees in psychology, health and adult education from Queen's University, the University of Toronto and the University of New Brunswick, Canada. She has been awarded her "CCMEP" that recognizes her superior skills as a Certified CME Professional by the National Commission for Certification of CME Professionals, Inc. Her extensive experience in these fields includes hospital management, training, curriculum design and development, and expert facilitation in both small and large group settings.

While Ms. Sweetnam has worked in several therapeutic areas including cardiology and exercise physiology, she has extensive experience in the field of dementia, specifically Alzheimer Disease, with a graduate thesis focused on the development and implementation of a clinical training curriculum. As a design and development consultant to the National Alzheimer's Association in Chicago, Ms. Sweetnam developed a national training program for hospital management and clinical staff. Subsequently, she consulted with an international research company on several instructional design projects that garnered professional recognition in the areas of comprehensive needs assessments. She has been involved in the development and presentation of several national workshops for the Alliance for Continuing Medical Education. As project manager and director of training for SP&A, Ms. Sweetnam applies her experience to supporting the development of tools and frameworks that facilitate SP&A clients in attaining Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Level 3 status.
