Susan O’Brien is Senior Associate with SP&A and has been a CME Consultant with the organization for 10 years. Sue has a cumulative 23 years of administrative experience in continuing medical education and related fields.

Prior to joining SP&A, Ms. O'Brien held the position of CME Manager in both the managed care and private sector environments. Today, Susan acts as Virtual CME director for several SP&A clients and in so doing provides oversight of all aspects of the clients’ medical education departments.

Ms. O'Brien is an expert in the area of regularly scheduled series (RSS), which are the core of most hospitals’ and medical schools’ CME programs. In that role, she assists those clients in updating and monitoring their RSS programs. Susan is an invaluable asset in providing the full range of consultation services for SP&A clients, including audits of CME programs in hospitals, medical schools, universities, medical societies and not for profit organizations.  In addition, she acts as a “mock surveyor” for many clients to prepare them for their regulatory reviews. Susan combines expertise and professionalism with outstanding dedication to quality service. She is former co-author of the “CMEConsult” column, which appeared regularly in Medical Meetings Magazine.
