ANCC Applications
Organizational Structure
Under the direction of Dorothy Caputo, MA, APRN,BC-ADM, CDE, Steve Passin & Associates assists clients in making a determination as to the type of organization that best suits the new division applying for accreditation. An organizational chart is developed which demonstrates compliance with ANCC policies and procedures.
Development of Key Operational Policies and Procedures
Steve
Passin & Associates, working closely with the nursing
administrator, prepares drafts of key operational policies
and corresponding procedures for new nursing organizations.
This permits the new entity to develop a track record during
the pre-application and application stages. Six months of
programming is required prior to initiating the application
process. Policies are prepared to demonstrate all required
areas of compliance, and procedures are suggested that make
the day-to-day work of the staff as easy to implement as possible
while assuring that uniform and standardized processes eliminate
the guesswork for assuring compliance.
Request for Application
The ANCC intent to submit is necessary to inform the ANCC
an application is forthcoming. A simple one-page form is prepared
with required information.
Documentation of Compliance: Building a Filing System Architecture
Steve Passin & Associates' experienced team will design
the "architecture" of a filing system for your organization.
Because your files are your major method to document your compliance
with ANCC policies and procedures, they must be set up in
such a way as to capture all required documentation. We will
devise a user-friendly filing system based on check-off lists
to make documentation fail-safe.
Staff Training
Steve Passin & Associates will help bring all staff involved
in the nursing continuing education process up-to-speed
with the new nursing division's operational process. A half-day
staff training will be conducted utilizing the new Policy
& Procedures Manual as the basis for the training.
Mock ANCC Survey
To prepare your key team for the intense ¾ daylong
onsite survey, Steve Passin & Associates will conduct
a mock survey that recreates the environment of the actual
survey. An experienced senior associate will be utilized to
conduct the survey. All mock survey outcomes are kept confidential,
of course, and a full debriefing is held to make final preparations
for the actual ANCC survey.
Final ANCC Site Survey
The ANCC Site Survey will take place at your office. The survey
is a critical and final part of the ANCC Application process
and requires careful preparations. Steve Passin & Associates
will be onsite to assure a smooth, uneventful, and successful
ANCC survey.
